And today, I’m shortlisted for an interview with Asian Food Channel on Thursday and I’ll be meeting the boss of Mphosis on Friday!

So excited, do wish me luck! I still feel like a small anxious kid and I need to start preparing for interviewsssssss!! :O

I’m in a beautiful mood these past few days, and to celebrate all the good things that’ve happened to me, I’ve been doing practically err..nothing! The only mention-worthy task i got down to doing was to make some amendments to my resume..will promise to start sending to companies! Leong accompanied me to the suppliers yesterday and he was there to help me block out all the ‘obstacles’, hehe. Appreciate it :) Then we headed down to Palm Beach at 1 Fullerton, where Aunt PL treated me to my all-time favourite seafood!

Dearie and me :) Love the floral zipper dress i was wearing that day..Ohyah! I still havent got my pink dress for Sis’s ROM..which is a good 2 weeks later! :(( If u girls see any nice pink chiffon/satin dress online, do drop me a link k! I always have difficulty finding suitable dresses cus it meant having to alter and the extra kachings involved! The non-perks when u are too short for ur own good :(

Crab-crazy! Aunty PL knew I love crabs so she ordered 4 plates of chilli and black-pepper crabs :O Haha my aunts looked so cute :))

Hahaha my sis and I were so amused by this photo..i looked so stonified by the amount of crabs waiting for us to finish! Leong was kind of shocked when I finished my 4th huge pincer, lol. I’ve never felt so full from eating crabs!

Exotic fruits

At NUSS, where Leong had to leave halfway cus he had ball early in the morning the next day, so i was all lonely and sleepy..Felt quite bad for leaving Abby at home for 6hours too! I could imagine her dying of boredom in that small kitchen corner. We left the club at midnight and it was home sweet home! Attended church today and service was awesome, ended pretty late because of the holy communion. Okie shall end here abruptly, celebrating Jas’s very belated birthday tmr so more pics coming up yeap! :)

Looking at my results still feels like a dream :) I remembered crying really badly during Primary 6 when i got a mere 227 for my PSLE and got even more depressed when everyone told me that I’m going to a school full of ah-lians & bengs (HIHS). But that was the place where I knew so many of my 姐妹s and still keep in contact with them till now, where I had Leong as my personal tutor and he was the reason that I made my mum proud for the 1st time by giving her a pretty 17 for my O’s. Got into Serangoon JC cus it was near my house and i dun have many options either; memories were scarce cus I spent most of the time going against the class and being all rebellious along with my darling 3, didnt recall putting in much effort when it comes to studies. So when it was Doom’s Day and I received my report card with a CCDE from my form teacher who solemnly asked me how I thought of my results and I went, “Hmm..Not bad ah!” I wasnt trying to be funny but I took my results lightly, only having to find myself trying to find a school that would take me in, gave up attempting to appeal for any NUS NTU or SMU courses. Lucky me, SIM took me in.

I’m pretty well-known in my family for being the happy-go-lucky kind. When Sis did badly for English in Secondary School, it was like a major crisis and my relatives would go all worried for her, cus they had high expectations of her. But when I passed all my subjects, even just borderline, my family would praise me & give me monetary rewards..like a celebration -.-” Lol maybe they think i’m smart enough to pass all and thats my limit!

Because the invisible motto of SIM goes, “Every weekday is a Sunday”, timetables are absurdly slack and I had the most awful lecturers for my 3rd year. I had Mr R for Elements of Econometrics on Monday, Mr R for Management Science Methods & Mr S for Organisation Theory on Tuesday, Mr J.K for Information Systems on Wednesday.

No one ever hopes for Mr R to teach cus u can never understand his nonsense about B caps and deltas so not before long Clar Jiamin and I decided to abandon his lessons and depended on Chris Daughtry’s notes after prelims. But it wasnt much use too, as u can tell i failed my EOE, expectedly hahaha. I had no idea how i got a 27, considering I didnt know how to answer a single question and was just staring blankly at the clock, waiting for my last paper to end!

We attended his MSM lessons though, but thank goodness for Faith who so kindly gave me her stack of David Quek’s notes, that i managed to get a 60 for my exams. I remembered I was pretty upset when I got a 20 or 30 for my prelims for MSM cus it’s supposed to be the easiest unit among all..even Jiamin and Clar got a 80+ for that subject! Haha. U’ll only do well if u study hard. Sian but true.

Mr S, who loves to talk about his wife, cheng-teng and giraffes, didnt help me much in the subject either and I had to sought help by visiting the sch’s library, copying notes and case studies from books. Lastly for Mr J.K, who I claimed he’s a complete waste of  my time after watching him dance around in the lecture hall; I skipped his wednesday lessons for the whole of the year. Surprisingly i scored the highest for his subject. -.-”" Clar and Jiamin always grumble how I never once give a thought about attending J.K’s lessons. He’s useless guys!!

Yesterday at 3am, Faith called me to tell me that the results were out..it was in the middle of the night and as much as I wanna know how i fared, I didnt dare to wake my sis up, cus I told her that she MUST be the one who gets to see my results first. I believe she’s my lucky charm ever since she checked my results last year and I scraped a pass for my POA (34 marks!!) Anyway i had insomnia all the way to 8am and I decided i couldnt stand it any longer and I woke my sis up, who very willingly got up and I like it when she tells me my results very calmly, haha. Thanks sis, muacks! :*) Sis was happy, Dearie was happy, Mum was extremely happy, my family is giving me a seafood treat this coming saturday! I’m glad that Jiamin did well for his exams and now i hope Clar will receive good results too when she comes back from Vietnam today! :) Then we can all grad happily together! :))

When you traced the path you had taken from childhood, it became crystal clear that God has been directing u at every point. :) I’m convinced of his love for me! :) Thanks Lord for giving me the best present of the year :)

Arrived at Australian International School at 9.45am, set up the booth with Roy, Christina & Ying Chun. Saw a middle-school boy happily strumming his guitar in the hallway, a  bunch of golden-haired girls enjoying their pink popsicles, a freckled boy teaching his friends how to do the moonwalk, an art teacher wearing a cute brown jumper with paint splashed all over it..nothing seemed surprising or out-of-place at AISS!

Was given a short tour by a incredibly tall man in charge, who looked interestingly at me when I was introduced to him. I think I only reached his belly button!! -.-”" We went to an art room and the staff toilet aroused my attention, as it’s perfectly alright for the students to splash paint on it cus it’s in an art room! Yups anyway we got down to work at 10.10am when their break started and the mob of students streamed in!

Roy, my partner for the day! The job for the day was to approach the kids at AISS to get them to do a short form for us, fill up their particulars and writing theword “MY” in their usual handwriting..these handwriting samples will then be featured in the new shopping mall called MyVillage that’ll be opened at Serangoon Gardens in the year 2010 :D There’ll be other schools involved in this project, and the first stop is AISS!

Turned out that we didnt have to approach them, they simply came to us! They asked us what this was about and when we told them their handwritings will contribute to the making of the mall, they went Cool! Great! Awesome! and you’ve probably never seen anyone so eager to fill up a form before. They queued up, asked for forms and pens, making sure their “MY”s were perfect before handlin in the forms. Some even chatted with us, telling us that they know where’s Serangoon Gardens and they want to be informed when the new mall’s opened. Such darlings. :)

Oops they caught me taking photos of them haha. I went to their open lounge to collect more handwritings, mainly ‘attacking’ those preschool-junior lot cus they were much easier to handle..all of a sudden a group of senior students started singing a birthday song for their friend, and i was more than impressed when the preschoolers and juniors joined in the celebration enthusiastically even though they didnt even know who the birthday girl/boy was. The seniors even shared the cake with them! Wouldnt u love to come to school everyday if it’s like a big warm family? :)

I think we managed to hit the quota of 300 that day!

Was itching to reign the kitchen so Clar and I met up on Monday to make sushi bentos! We spent a grand total of $20 altogether for eggs, corn, seaweed, sushi vinegar, crabmeat, mayo. Couldnt find sweet beancurd skin to make Inari :( Haha as you can tell Clar’s bento is nothing but zhapalang!! I concluded that she’s absolutely obsessed with mayonnaise, crabmeat + mayonnaise, corn + mayonnaise and still mayonnaise, lol! We didnt have enough time to make enough sushi rice hence the leftovers in the other container..what a waste!

I’ve surrendered to the fact that no matter how hard we try our bentos will never achieve the beauty of LuckySundae’s lunch boxes :( Haha I thought the corn and tuna sushi looked pretty good though, thanks to Baby who helped me with some! I hastily fried some tamago and Clar said she nearly had kidney failure after eating it -.-”" Aint my bear cute with its distorted seaweed smile! :D Gave dear a surprise when i appeared at his workplace 15mins before he ended his day! :*)

Dearie loved the sushis though the bear was ruined and there was one sushi where the corn fillings mysteriously disappeared and he innocently asked me “what sushi is this?” Haha we had pastamania at 9.30pm and the poor crew had to wait for us as we shamelessly took our own sweet time to finish up our meals and the bento :x

Happy news: Leong has officially ended his 2 weeks of work at both Parkway Parade & Orchard Point on Tuesday and we are back to spending loads of time together! :)) Helped my dearest to dye his hair copper red on wednesday and he claimed that he has to avoid my mum for the time being until the colour fades out cus he said my finished product was too successful, wahaha. Does the colour look very obvious? (the next photo)

I’m gaining those horrifying kilos again and it’s no surprise :( We dine at Botak Jones so often that we’ve made friends with two BJ guys who never fail to ask us to enjoy our “supper” when we have our dinner at 9plus. One jokingly chided me for stealing Leong’s fries while i was waiting for my Cajun Chicken haha! Wanted to try the fishhead steamboat at Tian Wai Tian yesterday but it was way too crowded and we couldnt find a parking lot..we thus found our way to Potong Pasir Kopitiam and in our eagerness to try new delicacies, Dear ordered bbq-ed chicken wings, a plate of overpriced prawn omelette and Hokkien Mee. Felt like i was eating at ChompChomp! :S

Friday was workout day and Leong finally had the chance to join us for badminton! :) Up till now I am still unable to fathom how we try all means and ways to take our own sweet time but always somehow ended up the earliest, gaga. Decided to go to NTUC to buy his favourite luxury wafers, Redondo! I got him the cappuccino-flavoured the previous week and he got crazy and bought the large can of triple flavours – chocolate vanilla and choc-mint! It must be that good to spend $6 on biscuits..right? Had erm nuggets and fries for breakfast at a cafe while waiting for Clar & Jiamin before we’re off for some hardcore exercise….

Anyway we had some decent doubles and singles. I squirmed my way past the net across to the other side of the court where my opponents were. Jiamin rolled on the floor in an attempt to hit the shuttlecock in front of an uncle who happens to be a trainer of his son who also happens to be a youth olympic pro in badminton. I practically flew to the other end of the court to earn a miserable point, thanks to leong’s craftiness. :( Yah so we had pretty decent matches if u ask me.

Play and fun aside, i’m still jobless and not getting down to sending resumes to companies yet. Results are out in early september and the jitters are back again. :( If i really did do well for my exams I will probably be so elated that I might give myself another 3months break. HAHAH. It’s all a joke folks!!!

For a start, I’m actually relieved that my nagging inner got me to emailing Tina back about the 4hours job at Australian International School collecting forms from 10-2pm. I’m a real lazy ass so i suppose the school being situated at Lorong Chuan (a glorious 10mins from my hse) has got to be the bulk of the reason why i’m giving up i-wish-it’s-my-lifelong-career as a potato couch. Dearie offered to accompany me for the short briefing tmr evening at Hindoo Road and i think he’s fetching me after my work on tuesday too, yipee yay yay :D:D:D

It tickles me each and every time i see this photo..doesnt abby look so ah-tut? :) Haha as usual my future brother-in-law never fails to decorate sis’s special occasions with flowers and lotsa love..today he sms-ed me to say that he would bring abby along to fetch sis from school, and according to sis they were decked in party hats welcoming the birthday girl. Not to mention that BB girl barked hysterically when she was there, so i supposed there was no need for party poopers and all, hehe.

Teppanyaki and Stemboat on Saturday, everyone turned up except Nigel who had to book into camp once again, was a pity cus it has been so long since i last saw him. Dinner was awesome, I sat in the kitchen a good 3hours gorging myself impossible with shabu shabu beef with endless sprinkles of ground pepper, juicy prawns, fantastic fishballs, honey-coated luncheon meat (inspired by fang’s impromptu bbq party a few weeks ago), chicken fillet dipped in HP sauce, pan pacific sausages, streaky bacon, fishcakes, grilled sotongs and moreee. Leong isnt fazed by my appetite anymore.

Introducing Abby the Gambling Queen! BiBi was the highlight of the day, which was highly unfortunate for her cus she was carried around and passed on to every single person in our family, made to perform her tricks over and over again, taking photos and she’s in like 159/162 pics, lol! She completely zonked out at the end of the day and Sis & i didnt have the heart to disturb her anymore (actually we did lah, hahahah)

The theme of the night was bright colours, and Abby wore this cute-to-bits singlet with the bling-ed “High Maintenance”..super apt, especially now she goes down for a walk twice a day! Little spoilt brat, lol. Sis was wearing one of our pieces from Swivelle and I felt so lok-kok in my magenta spag top (though i was more interested in counting the cons of wearing sth loose so i could fill my stomach with more food, wahaha!) Dearie wore a baby blue shirt, and he claimed he looked even brighter than my sis! -.-” Many of my relatives came in red, but there was still a mixture of colours :)

Laces. Blings. Textured Paper. Photoshop. Stickers. Glitter Fabric Pen. Andrew, Sis and I finally completed an entire stack of invitations after weeks! Leong was so happy receiving his first wedding invitation card haha! Dun worry we didnt give u the ‘guinea pig’! :x

Abby gave me a cut as a present when she high 5^-ed me and was over-excitedly trying to get the treat in my hands :(( Thank goodness sis and andrew brought her to the vet during the weekends to snip off the dangerous fangs.  Now her paws look so cute and harmless without those sharp nails!

Poor Randall has to be threatened by my sis every sunday and this time was changing her name to Nanda if he still doesnt carry Abby -.-”" The look on his face explains it all hahaha. I have no idea why he’s so scared of her up till now! Sighs and we are always getting screamed by my mum when she sees us pretending to throw abby out of the window :((

Clar accompanied me to Pets Lover Centre last week and I finally got down to getting Abby a personalised pet tag! She got distracted by those hyperactive hamsters and fighting tortises while I was so tempted to buy BB more delicious treats! Ahh but a small packet of BowWow’s cheese + salmon rolls costs $7! :( Haha anyway i decided to get the hot pink tag, with her name engraved at the front & our home address + sis’s phone number at the back. :)

Abby’s getup for my sis’s ROM this september! :*) Haha doesnt she look so lovable with her pink flowery clip, heart-shaped tag and plus the pink harness, whoop! She’ll definitely be the highlight that day :*)  We’re waiting (but very impatiently) for her hair to grow long so that we can adorn her with pretty fairy hairclips.

I visited Leong at his workplace the day before yesterday, showed him this photo and he exclaimed, “Why Abby become so fat!!?” HAHA. I think he hasnt seen her for so long thats why. Ohyeap i’m currently trying to teach her to roll over..i’ve given up training her how to say please cus she would just simply lie on the floor, wag her tail and stare at me -.-”" Giving Abby lot of attention and interacting with her is really important, cus dogs to me are like humans! Plus she’ll be moving to sis’s lovenest next year so i wun have much time left to spend with her. :(

I’m amazed how she can sit on my sis’s lap like this and still manage to fall asleep! Hahaha she looks like a  不倒翁! :D  Okie off to have dinner with dearest, today’s the last day of his work at Parkway Parade! :))

We’ve been mentioning about playing badminton for ages and finally met for some good ol’ exercise! Leong was unable to make it cus he started work on monday..hopefully we can play tgt once his work ends! :) Jiamin booked a court at Hougang Sports Complex for 2 hours..haha nearly died of humidity there, owing to my neck-choking SRJC badminton club tee :(

Clar looks dainty but she has signature smashes! She likes to hit towards the right side of the court though, so Jiamin and I had to run all over the place to receive her hits -_-”"

Of course I dun jump like that! Looks so unprofessional, haha! We were just trying to show off some really cool badminton moves but i suppose real players dun really need to jump….

HAHA this is one action-packed player! Jiamin’s undoubtedly the best among the 3 of us! I hate it when he just has to stand at a particular spot and hit the shuttlecock so effortlessly, pfft! :(

Was feeling in the mood for some racket-playing so I took the initiative to ask my besties out for once! :) Thanks Jiamin for agreeing to it so readily the day before and Baby putting some time aside for me despite having to go JB in the afternoon! :*) Sigh but i lost terribly that day..we got to play more singles, and stupid JM defeated me 11-3 and 11-6! :( Lost to clar too because of my complacency argh! I must polish up my badminton skills so I can be a one-time champion!!

Stop laughing at my grey uncle-ish socks and white big-hole socks! I need a new pair of socks for Christmas :(

U know you’ve been together with ur dearest for the longest time when u suggest exploring new restaurants in Vivo for ur anni date and he laughs & says, “Don’t bother dear, we’ll still eat at Terra anyway!” Haha!! So yeap it was the same linguine beef bolognese, savoury fish cheesy baked rice, the fantastic soup of the day and chocolate/coffee ice-cream. Ooh and they finally came to their senses & provide cold water now! In the past when we asked for H2o they would say they dun have..hmm. -.-”

I was craving for some sushis, so immediately after our lunch, we made our way to Cold Storage’s Naturally Marketplace to buy a sushi set! Leong was shocked when I told him i wanna buy this for myself to eat..haha and he had to remind me that I just had my lunch :x Whoo the salmon was smooth fat and juicy, in fact i love every single thing about all the sushis..the beancurd skin’s deliciously sweet, egg mayo’s chewy! Yummy, i must make a mental note to buy a sushi set there every time i’m at Vivo :D We walked around Giant trying to find some wafer biscuits Leong’s looking for..haha he should just ask Beng to buy for him at NTUC.

We had our first One Long Thing in Sour Lemon Lime on Dearie’s birthday, and we managed to finish it at Sentosa only after an hour or so! I love sour sweets though eating this one long thing numbs your tastebuds and makes you feel extremely thirsty. Definitely not a thirst-quencher as what they claim it to be!

Bought dearie one as an anni pressie! Haha i know, what a weird present right..but he loves it as well and I take a guess that he’s more amused by its name. We wanted to try other flavours and contemplating between Sour Rainbow & Sour Raspberry..decided on the latter after having a taste of it! It tasted different this time though, cus it’s not as hard and I read that the fillings is actually fondue! We finished it much faster this time, perhaps being too caught up with the movie we were watching.

Fighting by gorgeousss hottie Channing Tatum! He dances & fights like a hunk :) Haha! The movie is nothing without him cus the plot is a boo-boo and not the inspirational film i thought it will be..he wins every round! Leong and i couldnt really make out of the dialogue too :( Watch G.I Joe instead! We heard the Muttons talking about a dare where u have to go up to a stranger and say, “Evil Never look so Good!”, and there u go, a pair of tickets to the movie! Think it’s one of the big quotes which sounds pretty dumb, but we believe people will really do that for free tics!

Dearie came to my house to see Abby..he’s her personal trainer, haha! :) For one thing he insists that he laid all the foundations for the tricks Abby has learnt -.-” She’s apparently very 见食眼开 cus sometimes she’ll only respond to us when we say “Mum Mumm.” I concluded that u cannot teach dog tricks without food treats! (whoa it ryhmes!)

Took a video of Dearie and Abby! Even when we command her to sit, she’ll take her own sweet time, sit down eventually but with her butt facing us..haha her play dead trick is a little different from other dogs..i watched those youtube videos and the dogs are super alert..whereas she’ll die verrry slowly..lol but she’s so funny when she surrenders! :D We’ve just taught her how to high^5 and trying to train her to say please! Will upload video of it if she manages to accomplish that level of challenge!

My chubby BiBi Girl! :*) My family (especially sis) loves to call her all sorts of names – Abby Girl, Baby, Sweetie, BeeBee, RowlChowGrowl (when she’s up to some mischief)..it’s no wonder I once tried to test her by calling her Linda and she still looked up at me with those big round eyes. -.- “ We never fail to walk 10rounds around the park every night and she accompanies me when i work my guts out to chase away those flabs still stubbornly sticking to my arms ( :( ) It’s time to up to 15rounds Bibi! :D

This summer hols’ has been extremely wonderful – going to dearie’s house to have movie marathons, completing The Punisher, Blade and The Terminator sequels (we are fond of violent and gruesome movies), 7 days a week of Laksa, Fried Carrot Cake, Pizza Hut, Botak Jones, meeting my supplier & choosing stocks tgt, going for night walks with Abby and most importantly spending so much quality time together! Love him for being so selfless, doing so much for me and letting me indulge in all the unhealthy dinners, haha :*) He starts work today and we wun get to meet each other as often, will surely make it a point to visit him at his workplace! :))
